Roger Hardy is a proven developer of successful businesses and strategies.
Roger Hardy's association with Coastal Contacts came in early 2000, as Founder and CEO he focused his time and energy setting the initial vision and direction for the company as it carved out its leadership position in the vision care market.
As Founder Hardy led operations, corporate strategy and marketing. Now as CEO Hardy has narrowed his focus to corporate strategy, business development and M&A activity.
Roger was awarded Business in Vancouver's "Top Forty under Forty" award in 2002 and was
awarded the Pacific Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Business to Consumer) in 2006.
Roger has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization ( YPO ) since 2004 and sat on the membership committee for the YPO Vancouver Chapter in 2008.
Roger established the Hardy Endowment fund at Bishops University which will pay the tuition for a student "in need" each year in perpetuity.
Roger is proud of the more than $100,000 in charitable donations that he and his team at Coastal Contacts have made in the past year to charities including the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay, the Ride to Conquer Cancer, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank and the Canary Derby in Support of the BC Cancer Institute.

Gary Collins, President
Gary is a proven business builder and leader.
Most recently, Gary was Senior Vice President of Belkorp Industries, a private company. Belkorp has diverse holdings in a variety of industries including environmental services, real estate, sugar, agriculture, airlines and capital management. Prior to Belkorp, Gary was the President and CEO of Harmony Airways.
Gary also served as the Minister of Finance for the Province of British Columbia from 2001 to 2004.
In addition Gary serves as a Director on the public company boards of Chorus Aviation Inc. and Liquor Stores North America Inc.
Nick Bozikis, Chief Financial Officer
Nick is a proven leader in Corporate Finance. He is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in financial operations.
Prior to his appointment as Coastal’s CFO, Nick served as Coastal’s Vice President, Finance and Corporate Controller for several years. Prior to joining Coastal Contacts Nick held the position of Director of Finance for a multinational equipment manufacturer and was responsible for the integration of acquisitions in India, Italy and joint venture in China.
Nick is a proud father and husband.
Steve Bochen, Chief Operating Officer
Steve is a proven developer of efficient logistics and transportations strategies.
Prior to Coastal Contacts, Steve acted as a Regional Operations Manager for Loomis Courier Service. Steve was directly responsible for over 1,000 employees. Steve also worked as a branch manager for Loomis where he managed 150 employees and was responsible for union negotiation and branch results. Prior to Loomis Steve worked as the District Manager for Canadian Tire Petroleum where he oversaw 200 employees, developed the district's marketing plans, and forged partnerships with Canadian Tire Franchisees.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
Nancy Morison, Vice President, Operations
Nancy is a proven architect of successful logistics strategies.
Prior to Coastal Contacts Nancy was Senior Product Manager at i2 Technologies. Nancy also acted as the Logistics Systems Manager with Loomis Courier Service.
Nancy has more than 15 years experience in supply chain management. She also has extensive experience in product and project management in relation to software development and software implementation life cycles.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and is a member of the Project Management Institute.
Terry Vanderkruyk, Vice President, Corporate Development
Terry is a proven business builder and entrepreneur.
In his role at Coastal Contacts, Terry has responsibility for investor relations and is directly involved in a variety of strategic initiatives including potential partnerships and acquisitions. Prior to joining Coastal he has held roles of increasing responsibility with companies such as Johnson and Johnson and most recently Protox Therapeutics. Terry also founded and sold a successful consulting business focused mainly on the life science sector.
Terry graduated from the University of Victoria with a BA in Economics.
Aaron Magness , Vice President, Marketing - USA
Aaron has worked in retail for over 10 years with brands such as Zappos.com and Williams-Sonoma, Inc. that put a focus on customer service. He is a proven leader with oversight of Marketing, PR, Social Media and Business Development. He received his BBA from University of Wisconsin – Madison with a double major of Marketing and Management & Human Resources.
He is also an endurance athlete, though he’s not sure why he puts himself through the pain. Aaron is a proud minority owner of the World Champion Green Bay Packers.
Steve Wallace, Vice President, North American Sales
Steve is an experienced business builder & entrepreneur.
Prior to joining Coastal, Mr. Wallace most recently held the position of Director, Strategic Alliances and Public Relations with 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, world's largest junk removal company. Steve also founded and subsequently sold Active Wireless Inc., a multi unit business to business retailer of telecommunications equipment and services with operations in Vancouver and Toronto.
Proud husband and father of two, Steve enjoys volunteering with Big Brothers, playing golf and cheering on the Canucks in his spare time.
Curtis Petersen, Vice President, Advertising
Curtis is a proven developer of Customer Marketing and Internet Strategies.
Prior to Coastal Contacts, Curtis acted in a variety of marketing roles with Telus Communications where he occupied senior positions in Campaign Management, Customer Marketing, and Internet Services.
Curtis holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing from the University of British Columbia and his has MBA from Simon Fraser University.
Braden Hoeppner, Vice President, Web Sales
Braden is a proven website strategist and marketer.
Prior to joining Coastal Contacts, Braden held roles in vertical media and telecommunications where he guided the implementation, optimization and usage of web analytics & usability to improve website sales performance. He has also provided consulting services for online strategy to public sector and non-profit organizations.
Braden is an expert in Web Analytics and conversion optimization and has spoken on the topic at many conferences.
Braden has a unique interest in the use of widgets and "free social tools". He understands the importance of moving fast in an online world and being first to adapt to new technologies.
Braden took the lead role in developing Coastal Contacts "virtual mirror", a flash-based application that allows customers the ability to upload a photo and "try-on" glasses in a virtual environment and share this photo across social platforms.
Braden holds a Bachelor Degree and Certificate of Community Economic Development from Simon Fraser University.
Peter Lee, Vice President of Information Technology
Peter Lee is a proven leader in the area of systems planning and IT operations.
Mr. Lee brings more than 15 years of senior IT experience to Coastal, including roles as Director, IT operations at Netflix and Intuit, as well as having served in senior engineering roles with Oracle Corporation. Most recently he held the position of Vice President, Information Technology at Synacor and was responsible for establishing the company’s IT infrastructure as it expanded into new markets in the United States and abroad.
Mr. Lee holds a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Ohio State University.
Greg Lechner, Vice President, Business Development
Greg is a proven leader in retailing, with over 30 years of experience.
He’s held a variety of senior leadership roles in Marketing, Brand and Business Development for several national retail chains. Greg’s experience includes the Luxottica Group, where he led LensCrafters Marketing, as well as experience in the fashion apparel, photo services and home woodworking categories. Greg has also taught Marketing and Business Strategy at several universities.
Greg holds B.S. (Accounting /Finance) and MBA (Marketing) degrees from Miami University of OH.
Craig Lennox, Vice President, Finance
Craig is a Chartered Accountant with a diverse background of public practice and industry experience. Prior to Coastal Contacts, Craig held the position of Manager, Accounting and Tax at The Jim Pattison Group. Prior to joining The Jim Pattison Group in 2006, Craig worked for Ernst & Young LLP in both Toronto and Vancouver. Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
