Roger Hardy. In Canada, Coastal Contacts Inc. operates under the brand
name Clearly Contacts. Since inception, the company has grown to include
200 employees in its Vancouver head office and over 300 employees
worldwide.

When
- Coastal commenced operations in October 2000 after Founder and CEO
Roger Hardy, discovered the large mark-ups that optical stores were
charging for contact lenses and eyeglasses. He decided there had to be a
better way for consumers.
Where - With head
offices in Vancouver, British Columbia Coastal Contacts Inc. has
increased our global footprint to include offices in North America and
Europe.
Why - Because we are tired of being
ripped off! We saw the mark-ups that opticians and optical stores charge
and decided to create a more affordable, more efficient way for
consumers to purchase vision care. We want to offer consumers a choice.
